Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish and half-English woman was born on April 16th, 1996, in Miami Florida. A half English and half Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her is Argentine, of Scottish-English heritage. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English origin. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's ex-married partners. The family is initially from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when Taylor-Joy turned 6. Taylor Joy stated that moving from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was difficult, and she was not able to learn English, hoping to go back to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was ordered to move schools. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes as well as participated in the drama department. She quit high school when she was 16 in order to focus on her acting career. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to become an actress and her goals were realized after she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
