Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best famous for her character House in Fox's medical drama House. She was raised in Wayne where she was a part of a traditional Jewish tradition. As a teenager, 18 she moved into New York City to study at the Tisch School for the Arts. Soon, she was a part of the New York club scene and started becoming the talk of the town. Also, the press was impressed by her. Then, she used her experience and fame along with her personal training to both write and present a program called Positive Me. The first time she was hired, she got her first position with MTV as the host of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. When it ended up going off the air, she was able to appear in TV and films beginning in roles of a short duration but then gradually becoming an actress.
